Flash Player .PETs Sub_title: 11.2.202.291 and 10.3.183.90 |
|
Security and bug-fix releases of Flash Player 11 and Flash Player 10 with the Preferences Utility.
Posted 12th June 2013
I often see posts asking about how to install Flash Player.
For anyone wishing to install via a simple click of a .pet package here are a couple you can use.
Try 10 if 11 gives you any problems or if you want a smaller and lighter version.
With datafilehost you want the smaller "download" button.
The larger "download now" thing (if present) is an ad.

Thank you very much, OscarTalks.
May I ask whether they work with all Puppies?
My primary one is Lucid Puppy 5.2.8-005.
Thanks again, Sheldon

Sheldon- by renaming, you can peek inside to see what's gonna go where.
Since I doubt directory structure varies much between Pup's, probably all.
Racy, Wary might be the exceptions as I recall they'll require extra libs..

Hello Sheldon,
As far as I know they should be OK in all of the current and recent 32 bit Puppies. There may be some exceptions. Working here in Slacko, Precise, Wary/Racy, Exprimo, Wheezy and Lucid Plus 5.2.8-005. Feel free to report any findings.

Thank you, OscarTalks and Semme.
I got the Flash Player 10, 10.3.183.61.
Did a fresh frugal LuPu 5.2.8-005, installed that pet, and set Opera 12.02 to load sfs on boot.
Works (so far, knock on head, cross fingers, etc).
Any idea why, in previous install, the pets I'd recently downloaded look like

They were on a VFAT partition, which had never shown such behavior previously.
(oops. I'd recently started mounting partitions from
rc.local ; for some reason, it seems that I have to mount -t vfat , rather than just mount?)
Thanks again to you both.
Sheldon
