Issues loading Puppy install CD, goes to Windows instead

#1 Post by superdave »

I am trying to load Fatdog64-620beta1.iso for the first time and when I come to the boot up screen and select CD/DVD to continue on the load up screen it trys to load it and then won't and Windows starts up instead.

I have a Windows 7 64 Bit with 4 GB RAM. I think something needs to be changed on my computer. I heard of this before, but don't know how to do it. Can someone help?

If, as you say, the computer seems to try to load the CD when you choose that option, then the computer needs no reconfiguring. The problem might be in the CD drive, but it is most likely in the CD itself. How was the CD burned (what burning program and options)?

That is exactly what it was. I burned a new disk on a different computer and bingo it loaded on the computer I wanted. thanks!
