IP address has to be manually reentered after reboot

Hello all,
Can i know how to configure virtual network interface on puppy linux.

ifconfig eht0:0 192.168.xxxxx
it works but after reboot i need to reenter this.So i need help to have eth0:0 while after reboot.kindly help me.

Have you tried using the Connect wizard? (Icon on the desktop.)

Hello,
Thank you .I have checked in connection wizard only Eth0 is there .If i do ifconfig eht0:0 192.168.xxxxx in console and open connection wizard i see Eth0 and Eth0:0 but after reboot those settings are gone.

Is there some reason you can't use DHCP? That's all I ever use and it works fine.
