That is how it is already but just for the test
I saved it again but it did not help sorry.

Something is preventing it from happening?
I most likely use the clip board each day without know it
Can it be already in use and that way not available
Do I have to reboot and start up figaro and then it own the clipboard?

Why else would it not work thanks for suggesting possible solutions.
what an odd failure. How do we know that Lupu can use the clipboard this way?

to see the clip board working, open a text editor and do your copy/paste there

So if I get you

1. I start up Figaro Psw Manager
2. and then start Geany with new
3. and click on tab? or click on Username?

Should I do ctrl+v or what? I am dense sorry

Only if I do Edit and paste does it produce something.
Not as practical as doing manually from start
doing copy and past from the text file with all my
To do today on.

- start Geany
- open fpm2, there make your selection [e.g. Hotmail, Murga or whatever ] > use Jump
- go back to the open Geany, there do right-click & "paste" twice.

I have tested Antix now and are not motivated to take it further
So I now turn to Figaro and hope for your friendly help :)
I fail to sort out what you try to say with in or out?
but feel encourage by this text

"I'll just about bet I know where you fell short.."

That would be good to know and test so Shoot man shoot! :)

So if you could describe what I am supposed to do now
that I have not tested before.

What we know is that it launches the FF but not at the url
and it can do paste to the clip board but not from clip
to the field in the webmail site.

Use more words for this in or out your text too cryptic for me to get.

You are a teacher at heart. Teach them to think for themselves :)

Well I did as you wrote and it say nothing it shows the GUI
and I filled in the GUI as per your instructions and did double check
that I got everything right and started all over after deleting it
when it had filed 5 time in a row and started all over and it still fails.

Now it is 00.29 May 2 here so I am one hour past me should be in bed
so I read your way too cryptic suggestion tomorrow.

Keep at it you will become a good teacher with me as your eager student
or pupil :)

Interesting I will try that one.
10.35 PM now so I should go to bed
but will this the last thing I do and report back :)

First I tested with fpw2 not running
that gave the error that it could not find fpw2
sh-4.1# fpw2 | firefox https://login.live.com/
sh: fpw2: command not found

then I started fpw2 manually and did the terminal again
and it gave this

sh-4.1# fpw2 | firefox https://login.live.com/
sh: fpw2: command not found
NOTE: child process received `Goodbye', closing down
sh-4.1#

Okay so now I go to bed

I believe there was emphasis placed on the word eventually.. Run that cmd again and be PATIENT!

there is a typo, I think.
It should be:

Code: Select all

fpm | firefox https://login.live.com/
here that does two things:
- open fpm2
- open the login page

Cool you guys are at it.

here is what happens

sh-4.1# fpm | firefox https://login.live.com/

** (fpm:26608): WARNING **: Couldn't find pixmap file: logo.png
NOTE: child process received `Goodbye', closing down

And it start up the fpm and it start up FF
but the password for the fpm has to be added for it to work
but that is too late for teh script times out very fast within seconds.

So I don't trust it helps to be patient it has already said good bye.

So what is lacking in the script is to add the password for FPM

Or maybe it is possible to set it up so it does not ask for password?

If I start it up prior to the Terminal CLI code then it says
can not lock the process because already in use so that is logical indeed.

proebler I've seen you help many in the threads
that is much appreciated.

Semme don't tell me you did that on purpose for to check
if I get what the code means? That would not be nice of you :)

I tested to change to http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/
and nooby password and started up FPM
and the same happens. it start up FF but on the default Homepage
and not on http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/

If I manually change that page to http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/
then clicking on user and password does not put them in the empty fields.

Nooby- I don't care about errors or passwds.. ONLY that 'fpm | firefox https://login.live.com/' took you to MS.

AND you're doing this with fpm CLOSED.

The problem I see is that fpm isn't over-riding FF's homepage.

What's this do?

Code: Select all

firefox https://login.live.com/
With plugins disabled?

That seems logical yes but you still have to find a way
to add the global? password for FPM itself
and while it waits for that it times out so it is not just FPM

But don't you use FPM do you set the plugins to off for to use FPM?

Sure I can test it with plugins off but it does not help me with them on then?
But that will have to wait some hours I am running to store for food now.
And come back in an hour or so

Try'n forget about the user/passwd stuff for the moment and concentrate on FF.

Open 'about:config' and type: ipv6

If the value is 'false' >> set it true, close FF, then try this again:

Code: Select all

fpm | firefox https://login.live.com/
Does we still time out?
