Can't compile Conky in Precise Puppy

Iam try to compile conky 1.9.0 in precise

1. get lua 5.1.4
2. extract
3. execute this command inside of the lua directory
make linux install

4. goto conky dir
5. execute these commands inside the conky dir
export LUA51_LIBS=/usr/local/lib/liblua.a
export LUA51_CFLAGS="-Wl,-E -ldl -lreadline -lhistory -lncurses"

6. execute these commands inside the conky dir
make ; make install

i did it, download lua 5.1.4 http://www.lua.org/ftp/lua-5.1.4.tar.gz

You'll need to manually edit your make files for lua.
Or you can hope the simple way works and find the Lua package in the ubuntu presice repos and that it loads fine into your puppy system.
I dont know what if any lua version Puppy Presice has, so it may or may not work.
If that works... you could just try the ubuntu presice package for conky as well.

Otherwise you'll need to get your hands really dirty. lol
