How to set up screen sharing for tech support?

#1 Post by rmcellig »

My Mom lives in a seniors home. I just set her up with Xubuntu on an Acer All In One. So far she loves it.

What I would like to do is be able to connect to her computer from my computer and take over her screen when she has a problem or when I am teaching her something. Is this possible? She has a wireless connection and I am running Puppy Linux 5.2.8.

TeamViewer is free, and works well for remote desktop support:

You can also transfer files within a TeamViewer session.

I'm running it on slacko-PAE-5.5:

TeamViewer: 7.0.9377

I use it to support someone with a PC on Win 7.
