Slackware most liked among LQ users Puppy only 8 users on LQ

Slackware had 202 votes and Puppy 8

so it is highly misleading. The reason is that
Slackware have no regular forum only a mail list
such is not as modern as forums so the slackware members
dominate LQ and look for Slax or Porteus at the link.
the Porteus has their own forum so no need to be on LQ
when you talk directly to the Devs by joining the forum them set up

Linux Mint and Ubuntu also ahve their own forum so
why would them join LQ for to vote? :)
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

The list doesn't even include Fatdog64 but I have no problem with that

The poll on LQ.org was about "desktop" systems.
Puppy is generally considered a "light" or "portable"
system.
Puppy has been around number 10 among all systems
on Distrowatch for a long time.
Very good.

Inspiron 700m, Pent.M 1.6Ghz, 1Gb ram.
Msi Wind U100, N270 1.6>2.0Ghz, 1.5Gb ram.
Eeepc 8g 701, 900Mhz, 1Gb ram.
Full installs
