Hi there, verry excited to be trying version 1.04, but am a little confused about something.
Is there something that I have to do to get framebuffering enebled? Or is this happening and I'm not noticing a difference?
So far, everything seems fine...
Installed to HD (type 2), am really, really enjoying myself (gush)
Anyway, cheers and thanks for all the hard work!
How do I enable framebuffer in 1.0.4?

I think that I documented it somewhere on the News page.
read down a bit.
You have to download a couple of PupGet packages, then you should find the "Framebuffer Wizard" available in the menu.
Also I wrote in the News page that help is required to get the Wizard script working for all video hardware.

Thanks Barry, you're right... In my excitement, I overlooked the whole bottom of that page (oops).
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, and thanks for another wonderfull release.
EDIT: I cannot seem to find the second package, "xfbdev-v4.3.0v2-xkbd".
It's not showing up with the other apps'n'such when I go "start/setup/pupget package manager/install or remove packages". The modules_framebuffer package (sorry, can't remember the name off hand) package was there however.
Is there an alternate location where I might find that package?

Well, I gather that I'm the only one having this problem, searched all over the place and can't come up with any answers.
Anyone have any ideas?
C a n n o t find package
xfbdev-v4.3.0v2-xkbd
There was a package with a similar sounding name, but when rebooted X couldn't start, and when I typed "framebufferwizrd" I was informed that I didn't have the XKDB server.
hmm...
I've installed Puppy to the hard drive, has anyone succeeded in enabling framebuffer support with a type 2 hard-drive install?
Thanks for all your help everyone, always appreciated!

Installing framebufferwizard doesn't require remastering through Unleashed. You can download the tar.gz files, and unzip them with tkzip. (why hasn't tar.gz been registered so that tkzip opens them automatically?) Make sure to keep the directory structure intact, and copy the unzipped files to their proper place. This should work fine in most cases. It didn't for me, but I have an odd Neomagic chip. See http://www.murga.org/%7Epuppy/viewtopic.php?t=1331 for more details.
