"Set icon" & "Run Action" to specific program files [SOLVED]

#1 Post by Argolance »

Hello,
I would like *.mscx musecore files to be opened directly with musecore while clicking on and associate a musecore icon to these files. These are actually seen by Puppy as simple xml files.

How could this be done?

Cordialement.

Consulthe the rox-manual,section C.The SOAP-library has the functions.
The scripting used building the desktop in your puppy, may also be
of some help.

Cheers

Hello,
Thank you for replying.
Consulthe the rox-manual,section C.The SOAP-library has the functions.
This is what I already did but I don't see how to make the musecore *.mscx files to be interpreted as something else than xml mime type...
So, I can just set "Open with", using a right click but failed to "Set icon" and "Set Run Action".

Cordialement.

Argolance,

I think you need a new mime type. see-
https://developer.gnome.org/integration ... me.html.en

You can see examples in puppy in "/usr/share/mime/"

Cheers,
