I have a small monitor it only supports 800x600 smaller. Im trying to change the size to 600x800 and rotate using xrandr. It wont change the mode and when rotated it wont fit the screen even when using smaller screen size. I'm using the screen vertically so I need to make the size fit the screen. How can this be accomplisted?

Tried zarfy but still doesn't work. Seems impossible to change screen resolution except 800x600. When rotation with size 800x600 part of the screen doesn't show in the screen. Any programme to scale the screen size?

boot with the vga=ask kernel parameter instead of vga=normal and look if it offers some 800x600 modes . Then look into /etc/modprobe.d/*.conf files for modeset=X lines .
