Universal USB installer for puppy linux?

#1 Post by threeonethree »

Hi friends.

I have used a linux usb installer from windows to install puppy linux to a usb stick and i am currently typing from the installation.

I had used puppy because it was small in size and it was an emergency but i am personally more comfortable with ubuntu so want to install ubuntu to a USB disk and boot from it instead. currently i do not have access to a windows PC.

Is there any easy tool which i can install in puppy that will let me install ubuntu to a usb disk from within puppy? Something like unetbootin ?

I think this might work:

I scrolled down and used the isobooter instructions to put
fedora and a few other linux on usb. Worked fine.

Inspiron 700m, Pent.M 1.6Ghz, 1Gb ram.
Msi Wind U100, N270 1.6>2.0Ghz, 1.5Gb ram.
Eeepc 8g 701, 900Mhz, 1Gb ram.
Full installs
