Intalling Lexmark X5650

#1 Post by Eli Duttman »

I[m running Wary on an ancient emergency machine.

I want to connect, via USB, my Lexmark X5650 "all in 1". FAX I don't care about, but getting printing and scanning going is important.

TIA for your reponse(s).

Have you read How to Install Your Printer/Scanner in Puppy at the top of this section? It contains a link to a set of Lexmark drivers. One of them supports the 5600 series.

Yes, I went down that path. I tried a direct execution during download, but if something actually was installed, I don't see it. :(

1. Click the grey Download button on the left.

2. Select Save File. Save it some place where you can find it.

3. This is a PET. Click on it to install.

4. On your Wary desktop, click on Setup.

5. Select Setup Cups Printer.

6. Follow the steps.
