" That^ chip is a newcomer to the market and its driver for linux is still under development. Try either of these solutions (both are same, just using different versions of the alx driver):"

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=12206393

(originally suggested & tested by chili555, using a newer version)

""""""""""
Or,

(by izx,
using an older version of the driver, apparently working for many)

"sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-cw-3.4-precise-generic
sudo modprobe alx"

Hope it'll work for you too.

"""""""

Can anyone help now that I have links please.

" The driver can be found here: http://linuxwireless.org/download/compa ... pc.tar.bz2

If i download and make + make install this, it works, but i would like the driver is included in the kernel.

With the driver made with the tar.bz2 file, lspci say:"
