Yeah, I agree, the zekton font should be better known. It's quite efficient for titles and such.
A la manana !

How can I tell if this image is copy-righted?
Is it ok to use for personal use?
Edit: Oppps! reduced pic to get it accepted by forum and it got fuzzy.
I busted my wrist this week and working the mouse and my brain backward and left-handed.

Hi, Sky Aisling.
You wrote:

starhawk is right. If the magazine editors had not wanted us to enjoy the article and the photograph, they wouln't have published the information in the first place.
I was a researcher for a musical publishing company many years ago, and this is what I remember of the basics of the Copyright Act, as it applies to the general public:
It is always ok for you to use a photograph (or poem, or song, etc.) for personal use, or to show it to your friends (or to fellow puppyists, as is the case here) for mutual enjoyment, provided that you mention the author. It would NOT be ok for you to try to sell it as if it were your own, or to make any type of profit from the use of the art product without the consent of the original photographer (or writer, or composer, etc.), and without sharing that profit with him/her.
(Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that's the essential part of it.)
I hope that helps to clarify things. BFN.

Oldy but goody pendrive that was lost and now found Subject description: My Wolfe 028 XFCE |
|
Found this put away in a drawer by the wife and forgot about.
I booted it Live (I don't even remember what the save file was made on, it has been so long). Inserted it in my eeepc 900 and hooked up wireless. Kicked in
Firefox 3.6.3 and went to Youtube with Flash 10.2. No problemos.
MyWolfe certainly knew how to make a rock solid distro.

Hi, rokytnji.
You're showing the backdrop of MyWolfe 28 with XFCE
as wm.
Yeah, tough luck for us that GrumpyWolfe had to sort
of retire due to health concerns.
His MyWolfe 8 was my production distro for a couple
of years, and then his v. 21: wow, what stability and
ease of use!
Cheers.

If you mean the Malys-UniBlue icons in my desk screenshot, no they don't -- that is no longer necessary for the latest editions of Puppy, which will enclose drive icons in green squares when mounted (the X sign at the corner is for unmounting). I guess that'd be good for more eye-candy.

Hello starhawk.
Answer: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mywolfe/files/ISO/wolfe-021.iso/download
Yep, GrumpyWolfe's work can be found on sourceforge.net.
V. 21 and v. 22 were the last ones he officially released with jwm as window manager. AFAIK, v.22 is very like v.21, but with OpenOffice 3 included.
Regards.
