First off: I'm a pup when it come to Linux so, please, treat me like you would a 5 year old messing with a computer
I'm a Windows user... no point denying it
Long story short;
Instaled Lucid Puppy 5.2.28 to and old P4 2.8 computer to serve as a media center of sorts.
Set it up in the hard drive to be faster.
Everything seems to be working fine.
Now... instaled VLC to serve as the video reader.
Everything seems decent enough but, doesn't matter what I do, I can't get the subtitles to work.
VLC show a selected subtitle but doesn't display it.
I can select it twice, geting 2 subtitles in the VLC Subtitle menu but none work.
I red somwhere this could have something to do with the Font VLC is using so I chose the same. Didn't work.
SO I thought, if this has something to do with fonts I'll just install a sh** load of them.... so I did. All I had in Windows 7. Nothing.
So I'm thinking; What can I do?
1 - Get VLC to work
2 - Forget about VLC and try some other Media Reader.
Any push in one of these directions will be much apreciated.
Thx guys.
VLC 1.1.10 doesn't display subtitles in Lucid
