How to use TP-Link Tl-WN822N in Lucid 5.2.8? (Solved)

#1 Post by Lettuce »

So I'm trying Puppy Linux. Day One, in fact. But I'm having some (read: a LOT of) trouble getting the driver for it to run. It is a TP-Link, model TL-WN822N. I am running Lucid Puppy 5.2.8.
As it turns out, this has gotten good reviews for running natively on Linux. I, of course, get the one that doesn't. This antenna is a version 3.0, which (I've read) runs the rtl8192cu chipset.

Help a newbie out?

Tried that. It seemed to work, but the antenna still didn't work. How do I find where it put the driver, and do I need to do anything special to get the computer to recognize it as a wireless antenna?

Found it! It's at http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 469#462469 file name was "8192cu-k2.6.33.2.pet"

Now to play with my new OS. :)
