Precise 5.6.1: Can't burn a DVD with PBurn

#1 Post by Omega »

Hi.

I tried to burn two Puppy Save-Files (512MB each) to a blank DVD with PBurn 3.7.18.
When I started the writing-process it immediately fails. In the LOG-File I have the following Infos.
I tried a different DVD but it doesn't work either.
Reading DVDs (which I burned with Windows XP) is no problem. And PBurn even indicates that a Blank disc with 4.38GB of free space is inserted.

Has anyone an idea what's wrong here?

Greetings,
Omega

Best to listen to Flash ;) he's our mod -- and he gets grumpy when people start multiple threads on the same topic...

This is the thread he was referring you to, in your original thread/post --> http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 955#714955

You might want to post your issue there, and then you will probably want to ask Flash to close this thread and its twin in Beginner's Help, since they will be redundant at that point (not that this one isn't already...).

Just a polite suggestion. Good luck with your issue!

Sorry. I accidentaly posted in the wrong thread and I'm not able to delete my own posts.

So, since I don't want to triple-post, I better leave it like that for now.

If you try'n mount those saves do they say they're in use? If this is the case, attempt the burn while under a live boot. This, or try'n blank the dvd before proceeding to burn, see if it makes any difference..
