(SOLVED) passwd bug returns: pam_start() failed, error 26

#1 Post by Cadejo »

Team, all,

I may have run into a bug, it's referenced a bit here:

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... f2f320faa9

The issue is that when users attempt to passwd, it returns the following

Code: Select all

passwd: pam_start() failed, error 26
The above forum points to this occuring after Ubuntu packages are installed. Let me know if there is a workaround.

What did you install that requires the real deal? This one's usually pkg'd with *multi-user* distros..

I'm not sure I understand, however, this bug is fixed in Puppy 5.7!
