How to connect Slacko 5.6 to wlan?

#1 Post by stefan21 »

I'm not sure whether my problem depends on hardware or software.

It's a thinkpad T61 with an iwl4965 card/interface. As long as I do not force the card in an ad-hoc mode, the reconnection works fine. When the card was in ad-hoc mode, the managed connect does not work in puppy slacko 5.6. Booting the laptop in ubuntu there's no problem to connect to the wlan. Even after turning the laptop off and rebooting the router, the managed connection in puppy does not work. Not with SNS, Frisbee or Drougal. I have no idea.

Here's the sns_wireless_log:

Are you using Frisbee to connect wireless.
If not try that.

Changed the wireless channel???

I tried it with frisbee, didn't work. I also changed the channel, also no luck. Meanwhile I installed Pwireless2. Guess what - connecting with that tool works. Do I have to understand this?
