Tux Commander Mounting & Missing Storage Drives

#1 Post by JWRB »

I just downloaded and am working off a live DVD (rewriteable) for Lucid Puppy Linux 5.2.8. Great software! One problem though...I have been unable to access my Windows drives in Tux Commander. I can also not access files from these storage drives from other programs. Ex - I can not open a file from a hard drive to edit it from within the word processing program.

These storage drives do appear on the bottom of the desktop and I can access my Windows files through these shortcuts. I can not do this while in Tux or directly from other programs.

In the past, I have used Dolphin in another Linux distro. All my drives appeared in it. I could access and work with my Win files (text, jpg, etc.) from it and move/copy files from drive to drive.

I have tried mounting the drives. They are listed as mounted, but still do not show in the 'Mount' section of Tux. My floppy drive is the the only one that appears there.

What am I doing wrong? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.
