Thank you! I try the same 3 lines as OP in PuppyLinux4.20 Console and constant fan noise and heat is gone:

modprobe speedstep-centrino
modprobe cpufreq_ondemand
echo ondemand > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor

I have Pentium M 725 Centrino (600mhz-1600mhz). Nice and cool laptop now. Cheers Smile
