In case you've missed it, Barry's retiring

#1 Post by mikeslr »

Hi all,

If you're like me, you rarely get to the Announcement sub-forum: (a) It's "News" and, actually there's nothing new under the Sun; and (b) its near the bottom and I always start at the top, work my way down and quit when I'm tired.
So if you missed it, Barry K has announced his retirement from Puppy. A month ago a serious discussion of what that means to those interested in continuing Puppy development was started in the Announcement sub-forum: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=88883. And then it wandered tangentially and sort of petered out. With the hope of re-stimulating an interest in our undertaking constructive steps toward continuing Puppy even in the absence of Barry K, I've posted my thought's there, http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 191#732191. I urge those of you who have not yet read the Announcement thread to do so, and to express your thoughts THERE --not here-- as to what steps we should take. I've also suggested that the "Next Puppy Development" sub-forum be used for engaging in technical discussions.
