Very sweet eBay PC auctions this morning...

#1 Post by dennis-slacko531 »

I bought from this seller last December. You can follow me for more deals from time to time.

These are almost all very newish (about 5 years old). They have 2 to 4 GB/Ram and 160GB Sata II Seagates. I personally bought the HP dc7800 (Small form factor), a very quiet and worry free design.

A TIP: Don't bid over $50 for the dc7800 (I paid $47 eleven months ago, so just a heads up).

I used this Arizona "recycler" one year ago. I'm happy to share this with my Puppy Linux friends. I hope someone finds it makes their Xmas shopping easier.

Oh, and the towers shown probably won't exceed $100 (plus $25 shipping). I've never bought a laptop here so perhaps you can comment if you follow this auction.

EDIT: The 1st tower sold for $76 + 25 shipping. So, I think that's pretty good!

EDIT: 2nd tower sold for $93 + $25
3rd tower sold for $81 + 25

Do they charge for shipping? That could double the price.

Yes and shipping is $11 (laptops), $25 (small desktops), $35 (larger items). They require Paypal. Shipment is UPS/ground (receive it 5 days after you pay the seller). It's actually guaranteed to work, but I'm stating the obvious now... Please someone try this. You won't be at all disappointed.

A Toughbook for that price?
If I had known...but maybe that's better.

I used one of those one summer (internship at a seed company where I was collecting data from field trials).
Looked it up, the model I used was $6,000.
It's the sort of thing where when they were introducing it, the CEO dropped it on the floor from chest high (~4 feet). it was still running.
It could fall in ~12 feet of water, or get run over by a pickup, and keep running.
