Hi All,

I have an HP Pavilion ze4300 laptop with a Gig of RAM.

It doesn't have a built in wireless card.

It has a couple of PCMCIA slots.

For WiFi, in one of the PCMCIA slots, I have a TrendNet Wireless Cardbus TEW-601PC WiFi card.

If I boot my laptop up normally, it boots to Windows XP, and this card works fine.

When I boot to Puppy Linux, the LED's do not light up. And in the network connections I can't see this Wireless Card (I can only see my built-in ethernet).

I have the Windows driver for the card.

Please tell me what to do so that I can enable this wireless card from within Puppy Linux.

I've scoured various forums including these, but haven't been able to figure out.

P.S.: The TrendNet card is 32-bit Cardbus. In my PC Bios, there's no setting available to modify PCMCIA / Cardbus settings.

According to Google your TEW-601PC contains the recent Atheros "AR5005VL/AR5513" chipset,
and unfortunately this device currently has no native Linux driver available, as mentioned here -

Your only option is to try ndiswrapper.

I just tried ndiswrapper and the LEDs turned on ... let's see how this goes!!!

EDIT -- it worked!! And it's really fast considering the old specs on my laptop!!
