Building apps that run on Chrome + Android + Puppy

#1 Post by gcmartin »

A Shot Heard around the Microsoft World! (Subtle from both Apple and Google)

===> How many can see this tool as directional? <===
The view presented, herein, has absolutely nothing to do with personal feeling(s), as it has to do with the ability of Puppies to extend and survive into the future.

Puppy Linux has some amazingly talented people

The tool offer developers to now build any application which will load and run on Chrome, on Android, on iOS. If we all understand that Chrome currently runs on Intel/AMDs/ARMs(soon) then we can envision something about it potential future. Further even if Google decides to abandon one versus the other, we can still envision future via the announcement and extension of this tool.

The smart device movement has been going on for years beginning with Palm/Nokia to today's with Blackberry/Microsoft/Apple/Google building islands like Western Countries build golf courses. Now, as far as Puppy is concerned, if you understand the underlying similar language of Apple and Google apps on smart xPhones/xTabs/xTVs/x Cars/xDevices then we can also understand how this could play into Puppy's hand. For a simple (easy for me to say) change in, both, outlook and tools on Puppy or in Puppyland would/could position PUPPY Linux to benefit from this movement in the industry: both in contribution and in desktop application development moving into its future. I do understand the differences between the architected Unix models used by Apple iOS and Google Android from that of Unix (a basis for Linux), but, the ability to address this can be accomplished in several ways.

Is this reasonable at this stage of life? Thoughts
