2.11 Upgrade - Gxine no menu text

#1 Post by Sarah F. »

Hi,

I've just upgraded from 2.02 to 2.11. Very easy indeed, and just about all my preferences carried over. Plus it seems to multitask much more smoothly on my olde laptop. My puppy experince just got a whole lot better, yayh !

I've got a slight problem configuring Gxine. When I go to the preferences dialog there is no text appearing in any of the tabs or list items.
All other apps seems fine.
What do I need to tweak to get the text to appear ?

I would install the new gxine again, maybe the upgrade "forgot" a file.

Download:

http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/di ... 5.7.tar.gz

Then install it in Pupget.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the response, and the link.

I sorted this one out.
Using the -v option with Gxine I saw the Pango "ugly output" messages referring to the Windows fonts I had installed.
I too had the dreaded PangoCairo.pup installed, so I removed it and now everything's fine.

Best wishes,

Sarah.
