How about a YouTube section for Puppy? |
|
Hi guys I didn't know where to post this so its here.
May I suggest a puppy linux how to youtube section for us noobs, the text only explanations can be a bit confusing remember Windows is point n click and some people have no idea, Eg remove the fake .tgz or what ever it is. How to install to usb.
Seeing something done would make it easier.
Here is an example of the type of thing i mean.
This clip may or may not be the geeks way of doing it. But a noob can see it done.
CLIP NOT MY WORK

Hi, NickAu.
I know that "pelo" on the French side of the forum has produced a few videos on Puppy-
related subjects. I've never used them, though, so I can't say how accurate or helpful
they are. Besides, you're an English-speaker, so they won't be of any use to you.
That said, I remember someone with a strange British or Scottish (?) accent (to my
francophone ears, anyway!) explaining on a series of youtube videos this and that Puppy.
I can't remember the name or nickname right now, but maybe you can do a search on
youtube for "Puppy". Surely you'll come up with something: they do exist! (It was a
couple of years back.) Maybe you'll find your profit that way.
EDIT: See http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=puppy+linux
Sorry I can't be more helpful. BFN.

There is also a video how-to section of the forum. Most videos are far to large to attach directly to a forum post, but they could be linked to from there.

That may be "sneekylinux" you are referring to. He has done a lot of YT vids trialling various puppies.
I like Nicks suggestion - a picture is worth a thousand words sometimes.

Yep, that's the accent! And to a native English-speaker, that accent is... ?
(Thanks in advance for the learning!)
BFN.
