2.11: "download-megapup003" = command not found

#1 Post by nukem »

Hey all,

Newbie to puppy. So far works great... and fast!

I am running puppy 2.11 with a 1.1G personal storage file. I downloaded and installed the megapup003 file as per instructions. Did the mkdir /root/mp003 but when i type the command

sh-3.00# download-megapup003 /root/mp003

I get this error.
sh: download-megapup003: command not found

Not sure what I am doing wrong. Anyone?

try:
/usr/local/megapup003-downloader/download-megapup003 /root/mp003

or:

cd /usr/local/megapup003-downloader
./download-megapup003 /root/mp003

However, mp003 is somewhat outdated.
I will remove it from the server in some days.
Instead, I would suggest to use Muppy004 + a selfmade KDE:

This solution has less bugs, is better customizable, and includes newer versions of all programs.
Muppy hasJava, Wine, Mplayer+Codecs.
You can add OpenOffice by downloading one more file, Muppy tells you how to do it.

Exactly what I am looking for. I will try this instead.

Thank you, MU! :D 8)
