Traduzioni principalmente di Xanad
Then apart from the small percentage of existing translations, we can say you taught Puppy to bark in Italian.

Without your help and L18L, I would not have translated almost puppy. I was hoping the collaboration of the Italian forum at least to check the translations but the forum shows no signs of life .......
It 'nice to see puppy barking in Italian

xanad wrote: translate the file usr/local/pup_event/frontend_funcs
these scripts have been changed/created short time ago.
My translations and Victor's I think were already done before.

You found a bug!
Not really a bug but just not translatable for momanqager.

Solution
-insert

Code: Select all

export TEXTDOMAIN=pup_event_frontend_d
near top of frontend_funcs

- delete momanager' working directory

Code: Select all

rm /tmp/momanager
- restart momanager.

You will then find (I did) translations in momanager at frontend_funcs

Note, no user will need this insertion, it is for translator only-

I should build it into n4ext version of momanager...

Thanks for reporting

Yes, I do!

When I've made up LazY Puppy, it was a lot of work to edit the .desktop and the .directory files, to have DE menu categories and entries...
xanad wrote:pup_event_frontend_d
I would not put this into the langpack to replace the original existing file by default.

I have edited (and modified) this file for my L.A.S.S.I.E. Precise and L.A.S.S.I.E. Slacko (which is not available on the web), and found these files are different. I did not look into racy and wary or into wheezy etc. but I think there will be differences as well.

Maybe you could add code to the pinstall.sh of the langpack to include the code as it is done for the AppInfo.xml files in /usr/local/apps (e.g.).

Are there any plans at the langpack developers side, to expand the langpacks for the use in Slacko?

Currently they aren't really usable for the use in Slacko!

I build this langpack with momanager&slacko560...

I don't know the other distro very well and I'll try it.

...maybe I'm saying a silly thing, but it is possible that the frontend_funcs file changes status after more reboot?

I don't know, but I don't think so.

Though I'm not sure, because I don't use save files - there is just one exception on my LazY Puppy based O.S.I.R.I.S. Multimedia-Studio, a 350 MB ISO, which doesn't have that file.

Attached the screenshots of Welcome1stBoot from L.A.S.S.I.E. Precise (based on 571) and L.A.S.S.I.E. Slacko (based on 57). The Results are almost equal to the Results in DE.

Solved by myself (I hope)
xanad wrote:Hi all, sorry, how I can translate 'gparted_shell' using MoMa? :(
1) put these lines into source file:

Code: Select all

. gettext.sh
export TEXTDOMAIN=gparted_shell
export OUTPUT_CHARSET=UTF-8
2) add

Code: Select all

$(gettext '....text......')
for each strings to translate

3) clean tmp/momanager
4) found 'gparted_shell' in MoMa
5) launch 'create'
6) it's all ok

gparted_shell : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz9e78 ... sp=sharing

These codes are applicable for all files?
Without the modified source file inside the fs, obviously, not works.....solutions?

Who cares? Slacko5.7 is out......

Anyhow, you found a bug and fixed it! :D

QUESTION TIME: 'A doubt'
Now I have installed in my PC these distros:
slacko 560
precise 571jp
precise 570
lucid 528
What of these versions is indicated for the langpack? (there are many differences)

Precise 5.7.1 for Woof2 puppies. Slacko 5.7 for Woof-CE ideally in a separate langpack_woofce_it, the good news is that for this one you just have to install the current langpack and update the scripts that are different from Woof2.

Added Abiword and CUPS translations (Momanager doesn't put them into the langpack). The modified pet is on the first page.
