[Puppy210] Problem with dotpups menu icons

#1 Post by slapshot »

Hi,

I have a weird problem with dotpups menu icons, I mean, they are really too large and menu is too long, so it's difficult to choose lower options. Furthermore, when the mouse go down on this menu it does not flow down but it flows down just for one menu voice and mouse pointer move itself without control.

Do you know this problem ? How can I solve it ?
Bye

When a dotpup is made, the icon should be 16x16 pixel for JWM.

Some older dotpups have larger ones, or people use other windowmanagers where this problem does not happen.
So they don't think of scaling them down.

Lokk what icon looks very "clear", has high quality. It will be the big one.
Open it in Gimp or mtpaint, and scale it down.
Then send me a message or report here, which one it was.
Then we could correct the dotpup.
The icons used are usually
/usr/local/PROGRAM-NAME/icon.xpm

I think there also is an option in /root/.jwmrc to set the maximum size of an icon in the menu.
Might try that later, must eat first.

Hi Mark,

it was XChat icon. 48x48 dimension, now with 16x16 it looks ok.

Thanks.

p.s. Enjoy your meal ;-)
