Namecheap is currently hosting some crap-ass website at puppyos.net with the whois info "protected" by whoisguard. I already sent 1 complaint via live chat on behalf of the Puppy Linux Foundation.

Your contact just bumped the price. Wish BK told someone it was not going to be renewed and transfered to a care taker..

Does anyone know if that site was originally one of the ones BK had?
I checked out the current contents of the site and it seems to be articles and videos by various people.
Also there seem to be other sites offered with the same base name and a different extension.
Currently, the site seems to be a free for all blog as the content is so varied.

Its just a cybersquatter. Most of the material listed on the "random blog" is in fact other peoples copyrighted work (GQ is one that I verified)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anticybersquatting_Consumer_Protection_Act

It would be up to Barry since he owns the Puppy OS trademark, but I have seen proof of life on him in ~ 2 months.

Perhaps we should formalize the foundation for these kinds of things?

I've made a wiki page listing the archived pages http://puppylinux.org/wikka/FoundationHistory

Personally I think a foundation to look after the Puppy family would be a good idea. However, discussion of such an entity always get bogged down with people claiming it would stifle innovation.
