FD64: Fuji Xerox M205 fw found by CUPS but won't print

#1 Post by eccles »

Just installed FD64 630 rc1 on a new HP laptop. I expected that there would be printer woes & was not disappointed. There is no driver listed for this MFP; no surprise. CUPS recognizes the correct model, however.
Been there before & will be happy to buy a new printer (forget about the scanner) provided I can be sure of success.
Any suggestions?

Fuji Xerox M205 fw

I have the same problem but it's a Fuji-Xerox Docuprint M205 b
I was able to get this to print by following the link
http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/
No Scanner but Prints using the XEROX WORKCENTRE 3045 PPD

I'm afraid I haven't got it to work in Puppy Linux as yet but works perfectly in Zorine Linux using FOO2ZJS

@gzer:

Have you read How to Install Your Printer/Scanner in Puppy at the start of this section? It has a link to the FOO2ZJS package built for Puppy named foo2xxx_rcrsn-2014.04.26.pet. It supports your XEROX WORKCENTRE 3045 and some of the Fuji-Xerox Docuprint M series.

Note that this is the 32-bit version. There is an older 64-bit version in the Fatdog repo.

Please test and report back. Your results will be helpful to other community members.

[Edit] No reply, as usual with newcomers.

Thank you both for taking the time to help. Much appreciated.
No, the first suggestion didn't work, but I have hopes for the other.

What suggestion is that? What did you try? You need to be more specific.
but I have hopes for the other.
Again, what suggestion is that? It's been two months since your first post. You need to describe exactly what you are doing.

[Edit] No reply? That's too bad. There could be an easy solution to your problem.
