Has anyone tried running a linux terminal server (LTSP) and have puppy as the client download ? The server will be using Fedora 6 as this is a good server platform (well one i can get to work).
The spec of the terminals that i will be using for the charities/schools is
P1-3
12Mb -256Mb RAM (66-133Mhz)
NIC (10-100Mb ISA/PCI)
2-32Mb Video
also is it poss to only have the following apps on the client/puppy, but nothing else.
X11 or KDE or Gnome (im being pushed towards X11 due to speed over the network)
Office (anything that can handle ms file extentions, Openoffice 2.x would be nice)
IRC client for Linux (anything would do)
IRC for MSN/Yahoo (this must have webcan support)
Clam AV (im not sure if this is only going to run on the server or the workstation as well. I have picked this for the auto updating bit it has in it)
Im sorry for the very long, very techy, very boring post. But if there is someone out there that would like to help me out with any part of this?

I'm not an expert one of LTSP, I'm interested too in this project for our LUG and trashware project we have but from what I know your question has a contradiction, I mean how could you have PuppyLinux on terminal if you have a LTSP server ?
For that I know client does not need anymore than booting from network or booting with a floppy disk to be able to connect to server and receive via NFS X and no more other stuff. It virtually is working on the server.
Different project is the interesting PuppyLan by Sunburnt which have a puppy server with a samba server and another server I cannot remember now (search this forum and you will find it) and the client can boot via network receiving version of puppy you put on the server file system.
Try to have a look also to: http://wiki.ltsp.org/twiki/bin/view/Ltsp/WebHome and search for SkoleLinux, a debian derived distro with a good documentation about the network implementing LTSP.
