How to combine images in Puppy?

#1 Post by gcmartin »

I need some guidance in an area I am unfamiliar with; namely mtPaint/GIMP.

I have two pictures, separately in this forum thread. <=== click

Question
Is there guidance offered to show the way to combine them?
I want to draw an arrow from the KVM to the PC pic.

Having always used Windows Paint, this is new to me in understanding canvas and such. So imagine someone dumber that a 2 year old (me). I need to break my Windows reliance for this kind of thing.

Thanks in advance for any guidance, reference, and replacement picture for that thread.

Hi gcmartin

I'm quite ok with Excel so my normal approach would be to insert both pictures in Excel side by side (or whatever), turn grid lines off, add any arrows/text etc, and then take a screen shot and edit the picture (cut/paste to new) as desired and then save that.

I'm managing to do without Excel and learning Libre (see attached)

inkscapelite does it. It adjust sizes to fit several image together.

tuto video

draw yr two images in inkscapelite and adjust the size of the arrow. draw it where you like. Than take a screenshot with yr screenshot tool.
Pls could you add inkscapelite in you title ( for search tools) if you are happy with it. Only if success :)
