Installing teamviewer

#1 Post by Denmus »

Hi!

I'm a puppy newbie. I've installed puppy on a 8GB usb pen drive. Its running.
Trying to install teamviewer i got this message:

"The teamviewer-9.0.24147.pet package has been downloaded to /root/.packages, however there is not enough room to uncompress and install ist. The free space is 24156 blocks but it is estimated you will need 32256 blocks temporarily for the expansion and install."

Why it's not possible to install it? I think 8 GB must be enough.

The os runs on a igel thin client with 256 mb ram.

Hi Denmus,
What puppy are you using?
Have you created a savefile first?
If yes how big is it?
Do you have a swapfile or swap partition on your system? (Although I don't think having swap on pendrive is a good idea for the life of pen drive).

You can use your remaining free space on 8Gb pen drive as data storage.
But for system work puppy will use ram, savefile space and swap space.
Let us know the details, somebody will surely help you. (I am just a noob ;) .)

Thanks.
