Puppy under attack !!

#1 Post by klhrevolutionist »

I know this is not just me as I have asked many people, I figured it was about time to laugh at the other's though.

Almost everytime Puppy is released and distrowatch announces this a flood of othert distro's seem to release an iso of their own.. Most peope write that they do not care about distrowatch rankings but take notice pups it happens.
Is Puppy Linux a threat to the other distro's and their established "products" ?

Who cares let us have a laugh as they scramble about scuttering and worrying
over rankings..

And let us cheer as puppy continues to climb the rank chart
Heaven is on the way, until then let's get the truth out!

True - Puppy IS making people re-think their Linux status quo !

However - what does seem to me -absolutely pointless:
How many rush to post latest favourable reviews they find ?

Not just the new to any distro variant - Does their confidence in any product NEED constant re-assurance !

OTOH - Same odd types are quick to take offense at slightest hint of any temporary bug yet unresolved ?

Puppy community forums , I have also pleasantly noticed - not only discusses all - are never hesitant
to suggest alternates when it seems to better match user's hardware/uses.

Very refreshing. (Must be the  puppy breath)
