On hd, how do I get user_devx.sfs recognized? (Solved)

If one is on a hd how would one get user_devx.sfs to be recognized

The answer to my own question seems to be to run the live cd and let it create the pup002 file it needs and then I can boot back into hd puppy and use the compiler!!!!

Yes, also you will need to install 1.0.5alpha1 to HD, as rc.sysinit-hd is different, plus a few extra library files symlinks.
