5.8.4 pae version on a pfix=ram boot kernel panics every attempt.Tried several times.
Booting pfix=ram,nox however,does boot to a prompt...xorgwizard only allows the modesetting driver (not nouveau),will pass the test but the goes to a non-responsive blinking cursor.Total no go.
But,the non-pae versions boots straight to the correct 1920x1080 desktop with working internet.Still no damn sound though.
Both versions appear to be working pretty normally on a bit older hardware though.
