Chinese Puppy Linux

Edit:
Latest version 2.12 --> Get it now!

Thanks to Nyu we now have Puppy 1.0.8, 109CE, 2.00 and 2.02 in traditional Chinese. Sccat had made dotpups that let Puppy use fonts and input methods in simplified Chinese. I'm sure more exciting stuff are on their way!

How is it going? All I ever hear is of a new release of Chinese Puppy. Red Flag is the big Chinese distro, Ubuntu is popular? What sort of feedback are you getting? Puppy iideal for the 'Green Machines (inexpensive, low power) computers that will evolve from the Chinese and Indian market.

I have always believed that a distro should take negligable resources so software can be run. That is why the Puppy derivative 'Linux Tmxxine' will have voice recognition and an AI programming language that will need vast resources to run.

Most people like Puppy of course :) We do have some minor bugs in Chinese Puppy here and there, but Nyu, sccat and other users are working hard to fix them (I wish I know more to help  )

Chinese Puppy 2.12

#15 Post by Marcel »

Is there a version for Simplified characters?
Or is there a dotpup for them - can I use the dotpup mentioned in puppian's posting of June 9?
Thanks.

Yes sure!
Download:

The dotpup is created by sccat. It's created long time ago, but will still work on latest Puppy (how genius the dotpup system is! thanks G2 for creating the system 8) )

If you encounter problem with Chinese input after installation, follow the instruction in this thread:
