Where can I find Barbone Puppy 1.0.4?

#1 Post by puppian »

Someone told me he can't download Barebone puppy 1.0.4 because the the download link here is broken. The link:
http://mymirrors.homelinux.org/puppy/v. ... -1.0.4.iso

It was kindly hosted by Hugh Chow.
"This directory does not contain all of my old files from before June 2006! That server is long gone along with its hard drive full of stuff. Enjoy whatever you find here for it is all there is, folks!"

Barebone puppy 1.0.4 is the last officiall barebone version of the 1.x.x series. I'm sure many people still need it.

Anyone has the file?

Hi puppian; I have BareBones Puppy 1.0.3 & 1.0.4, it's 41mb.

If MU or TedDog have it, you might persuade one of them to host it...

no, don't have it.
You can upload it to dotpups.de, then I will move it to puptrix.

puppian; Have you looked at Pizzasgood's "EmptyCrust" Puppy?
It's based on Puppy-1.0.7, so it's newer than BareBone-1.0.4
It's what I use for PupServer & most of my "Bare Puppy" projects, it's 46mb.

If it sounds interesting, say so & I'll upload it to MU's site (if he doesn't have it).

Thanks everyone!
Download page updated :D

P.S. I got some "connection reset" and "internal error" messages when clicking on the puptrix link, but it works again after a few refreshes. Maybe just an occational server problem?

Puptrix is so huge, that it is often under heavy load.
If you have connection-problems, try again a bit later, usually it works then.
If not, please inform Ted Dog.
I am just a user there, the administration is in Teds hands.
I also could mirror the file you need on the german servers.
