Hi !
I have a class room with 30 PC (1 PC server and 29 PCs client).
I would like to install that PCs by eth0 (because PCs client not have CD).
At PC client I would like boot with eth0 and it download anything from PC server.
I thinks this solution very important for deloyment at school or business.
Thanks,

Hi Hacao; You want to install Puppy rather than LANboot the client PCs?
If so...
1) Make a huge initrd.gz file with the 3 Puppy files in it (lots of client memory).
........ Client PC would tftp the files & Puppy's boot script would do the install.
2) Make a LanPuppy boot style setup that'd smbmount a share & copy the files.
3) Boot a special made stripped Puppy (PicoPup) to wget the files to install.
4) Use a USB that boots Puppy & use the installer or write a new installer.
All of these methods require alot of effort making the install setup (except 4),
almost the same effort as LANbooting which has added advantages.
LanBooting of course solves a pile of install problems & clients need no local HD,
so no maintaining 30 HDs & so no HD corruption to worry about.
However... you may want to teach use of local drives, but then there's no CDs anyway.
