Having Upgraded my boxes.
My best advise is to physically pull the covers of the computer and physically write down on a piece of paper with a pencil the exact specs
of ram currently installed.
I say this because dmi code readout for reading my ram specs lied/was mistaken on what was actually installed on rig.
Always making sure you do not spike the ram with a static discharge from your body when pulling the ram.
That power cord is also unplugged.

Crucial ram site also has on it's site what ram is compatible with your gear.
