how to create tar.gz files? (ok, solved now):-) |
|
Dear Helpfull Canines;
I am having a hard time finding some usefull info.
I'm trying to find an online guide dealing with .tar, .tarbz2, etc. files. I've learned by searching how to u n c o m p r e s s these types of files, but what about creating them?
I'm aware of tkzip and the guitar-archiver (don't know if I spelt either of those right, oops!) utilities included in Puppy, but I would like to know what the process is on the command line.
So, if any of you kind folks could provide me with a link or two to get me started, I would be deeply appreciative.
Cheers
