Forgot to ask if it's possible for you to make delta's from 6.0 to 6.0.1 and to 6.0.2 so people don't have to download the complete ISO's everytime.

deltas uploaded (hopefully done properly)

there is only one from 6.0 to 6.02 ..... 6.0.1 is just a service pack

PostPosted: Wed 25 Feb 2015, 07:44    Post subject: fix to get preview working using gnumeric

Hi,
on Tahr-6.02-PAE (might be others ...)
missing a symlink /usr/bin/evince-previewer pointing to /usr/bin/evince

just do in terminal
Code:
ln -s /usr/bin/evince /usr/bin/evince-previewer

This allows Gnumeric previewing to work.

Cheers, Charlie Smile

hi james186282,

if you are using the tahrpup 6.0.2 iso you will need to rename the zdrv.sfs to zdrv_tahr_6.0.2.sfs.... also read the 'readme' here http://ftp.nluug.nl/ibiblio/distributions/puppylinux/puppy-tahr/kernels/READ_ME.txt

tons of thanks for that seems-to-me-huge work !

I'm pretty much a user than a developper, so i'm wondering how apps which run with qt4 could run whit qt5 ?
Is there any symlink from qt4 to qt5 to make to tell the apps to look to qt5 instead; or something else?

Thanks for any answer !

you have to qt4 for qt4 apps and qt5 for qt5 apps, qt4 apps would be looking for a .so.4 and qt5 apps would be looking for a .so.5, you can have both on your system if compiled and installed correctly.

when using qmake or others qtchooser helps ya chooser which to compile with. to compile you would need something like -qt5 or it might be qt-5 in your ./configure, just off the top of my head exact command might be wrong.

yes there are a few apps that throw up those errors in a terminal .... i've tried various things... updating glib, gobject and gtk and they still persist. They are none fatal though.

i've combined the main.sfs and dev.sfs and uploaded it to the tahrpup repo .
tested compiling a few apps and is working fine for me thanks Smile
