What I want to do with Puppy is to remove all components, except for mozilla and maybe GAIM. Is there any way I can do this easily? Or do I have to recompile Puppy? If so will it be difficult to do? Thanks.

Have you considered using Barebones Puppy? Here's the download site.
There is also Puppy Unleashed.
