Config of wireless LAN not working

#1 Post by BRED.1 »

Good morning people! :)

I'm using Puppy Linux release: Tahrpup 6.0.2.
And every time trying to config the wireless LAN my system freeze. Always happen when i try wlan0 after choose this the system don't respond anymore. :?
So now i only can use the wired conection.
But i'm very curious to why and how this happens.
If someone knows how to fix these i'll thankfull.

Regards

Unless you identify the exact wireless hardware and drivers you are using, there is nothing we can do.

...and even without guessing at your hardware ..as a new user, I have found "process" to be important in Puppy' network configuration.

That is to ask: What order are you pushing the buttons?

For instance, having chosen wlan0,and noting that puppy is able to use your hardware, the next is to SCAN and then CHOOSE your network...because trying to connect to the wrong network with the "right "password might cause your issue...?
