Unable to install OO pupget to USB flash drive

Hi all

I have successfully installed puppy 2.12 onto a Memorex travel drive and am now trying to install the cut down version of open office (mainly because I have been using it on w...., hoping to share files with both sytems).

I added oo to the right pane and clicked ok.
I selected nlug for download..... and that was it. Nothing!!!!

I rebooted only to have my system to go into what seemed to be an endless loop.

So I forced my laptop to power off, booted back up and tried again, but this time when I selected OO and said ok, nothing happened at all. Almost as tho pupget was not connecting??

The other problem is that puppy seems to think that I have a PS2 mouse and I have to go into setup and select usb mouse and then all is fine. However next boot I have to do it over again.

Any help would be much appreciated. BTW can you suggest any good reading for a nooby puppy owner.
