#1 Post by tim »

Hi, just set a friend up with puppy ( 1.0.4) and dialup with external modem, works very well, however the dialup has failed and it appears the lock file at /var/lock/lck.. is corrupt and needs deleting - I can find no way puppy will let me do that! naughty puppy.........
any help much appreciated.
thanks

If you can get onto the internet and it seems "you" can
download the midnight commander plus and browse with MC
and that should be the end of that corruptness!!!
!!!cause stone cold puppy said so!!!

Sometime back on another install of Puppy, I ran into something simular. Woulnt let me delete, but would let me rename. If you can rename it, then it will just be ignored and new lock file created.
