Actually this group has shown that there is an upside where thru research, they expose the problems and manufacturers respond, in kind.

I am hopeful that more research groups do so in order that our world becomes safer thru these kinds of findings.

3 things of course many already know:
  • remotely affecting the operations of electronic gear has been in clandestant space since computers in airplanes, leading to suspicions of certain crashes.
  • drones are an evidence of productive remote controls
  • much more will be done to personalize controls to thwart external interference
The Jeep demonstration is an example of using technology on OLD autos where vehicle operations are centered in the onboard devices (computers and its sensors).

The technology about to go into new forms of transportation exceed what we see in the present and old transportation methods.

BTW: Did you know that this same technology could be used to hijack or shutdown a SHIP's systems. Could be used to steer it to your personal Port Authority.
