grub-install: error

#1 Post by ibouvousaime »

I have windows installed on my harddrive and I d like to repair windows, I extracted a content of a windows iso to a NTFS partition for it and I installed grub2 on my puppy live cd but when I do "grub-install /dev/sda/" I get as output

Code: Select all

Installing for i386-pc platform.
grub-install: error: failed to get canonical path of `unionfs'.

Can somebody help me, I dont have a suitable USB drive and I cant buy one right now

Basically you need to use Windows to do anything to Windows.

I know you made or have a Windows recovery disk, don't you :?:
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
YaPI(any iso installer)
